Karen Humphrey Sullins founded Healing Hearts2Resiliency and is the CEO of Helping PCCC (Helping Hands Professional Counseling & Consulting). She serves as an LEO/Fire Peer Support Clinician, DPrep Safety Affiliate, VACCN provider, and First Responder Clinician and is a sought-after speaker, leadership, and ministry leader. The American Academy of Trauma Experts also recognizes her.
Karen brings extensive experience in trauma-focused therapy (TF-CBT), trauma-informed care, and crisis and disaster mental health. She believes that thorough assessment is an essential part of effective treatment.

FEMA-certified and Licensed Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Volunteer (AL/MS and Caribbean regions).
Specialized in Incident Command/Mass Casualty, Crisis Response, and Threat Assessment.

As an affiliate of DPrep Safety, Karen works to raise awareness about the risks of violence in schools, places of worship, college campuses, and workplaces. She partners closely with first responders, social service providers, veterans, pastors, victim advocates, and community organizations.
Through Healing Hearts2Resiliency, Karen has built programs that strengthen resiliency in high-stress professions while fostering healing and growth within communities. Her organization partners with local fire departments, schools, law enforcement agencies, the 1:1 Foundation, and more.
Looking ahead, Healing Hearts is preparing to launch as a designated Alabama Family Resource Center (ANFRC) in 2025—further expanding services for families, victims of abuse and crime, and communities in need.
