Domestic Violence Awareness: Safety Matters

Abuse is not your fault. You deserve safety, dignity, and support.

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.” — Psalm 9:9

You Deserve to Feel Safe.  You Deserve to Be Heard.

Domestic violence can involve physical, emotional, sexual, financial, or psychological abuse. Abuse is not the victim's fault. Safety, support, and access to resources matter.

Domestic violence can take many forms, and not all wounds are visible.

If someone is experiencing abuse, they may feel afraid, isolated, confused, or unsure of where to turn. A caring response can begin with listening, believing, and helping connect them with safe resources.

Call to Action:
👉 If someone shares their experience with you, listen without judgment.
👉 Encourage safe, appropriate support.
👉 Do not pressure someone to take an action that could increase their danger.

Resource Reminder:
The National Domestic Violence Hotline is available at 800-799-SAFE (7233) or by texting START to 88788. In an immediate emergency, call 911.
